A good product but the building instructions were not that clear. The building arrived as a stack of panels and none of them were labelled. The construction process would have been so much easier if I did not have to identify each one from the instructions.

I purchased a Waltons 7 x 7 Corner Summer House and it was a disaster. The reason I chose them was a ‘special sale price offer’. How I regretted buying cheap! The design is appalling and nothing fits together well.

Within a few days rain came in on all sides where the walls meet the floor. The chipboard floor itself is so thin and flimsy that it bends down under the weight of one person! The doors did not fit the frame and would not close together or lock securely.

It was impossible to get the joints on all of the corners of the vertical walls to fit tightly. When I phoned and emailed Waltons to see if they would comment and help, they tried to put me off and then stopped communicating. In desperation I even offered to pay

Waltons for their own fitters to visit and show me how to re-construct, as they had inferred that my build may be the problem. No response …they could not be bothered! To keep my sanity, I decided to sell the Summer House for half the price I originally paid and, I described the product and the issues honestly on Gumtree, including the the leaking and the service issues with Waltons.

I dismantled the whole summer house and was delighted to finally sell it on and see the complete kit collected. Waltons are an unprofessional company and I urge anyone considering any of their products to find a more professional alternative. I can recommend Dunster House Ltd which sell well designed solid quality products and, their service is honest, open and responsive!
