This is not the first metal shed I have had from these suppliers. Like all metal sheds, the parts seem very flimsy and the building process may seem a little daunting at first. But don’t worry, when assembled they are very resilient to the elements and don’t leak – not a drip.

Miles better than a wooden shed. This one took 2 of us about 5 hours to construct, and my electric screwdriver earned it’s keep (a must have tool for this job). Only about 4 or 5 of the holes did not align and this was swiftly corrected with a 3mm drill bit.

The trick is to have a perfectly square and level base. I made mine out of tanalised 4 x 2 timber and took some time over it. The shed then simply sat square on it and everything lined up.

I screwed the shed directly to the base, put a plastic membrane down and used 3/4 inch ply for the floor. Not a drip has got in and there is no damp and I would expect to do zero maintenance for the next couple of decades. In fact I’m going to buy another soon.

Well, where to begin. This was bought as a bit of a stop gap until we purchase a bigger shed….what an absolute puddle of crap. I would have been better at fettling my own panels out of old baked bean cans.

To call the metal ‘flimsy’ would be generous. Tied in with the fact the whole thing is held together with tiny self-tapping screws and the holes drilled are to big so it’s more being held together with hope and the tears of unicorns.

The instructions helpfully suggest that you shouldn’t try to assemble in strong winds. I would suggest that it should be assembled to completion if there is ever the chance of someone standing near it and sneezing

Hi if you make a base of 42 inches by 112 inches it will fit on perfectly.
The roof is the only thing on this shed that measures 4×10. Internals are much smaller as other reviews state.
But still a fab shed for the money, looks very smart and will last many years.

Was exactly what I expected for the price. Definitely need 2 people to put it together, however when erected it is quite sturdy. Didn’t have enough washers, I emailed the company and they sent some promptly, so was very pleased. Would recommend for a small garden storage shed.

Charles Bentley are a good brand a do not produce rubbish. I was taken back at the price of this well made but cost effective metal shed, For the price it commands it is hard to find any better.

Perfect! Started putting this together around 9am today and was finished around 3pm (including a breakfast and lunch break).

Instruction are as to be expected lots of writing which is helpful but you really don’t need it as the illustrations are so simplified it’s crazy.

You do need 2 people to assemble but the 2nd person is only really there to help by holding the frame as it is easily caught by the wind until all the sides are connected and this can cause the frame to bend.

Some pieces were bent upon delivery but that is to be expected with most metal sheds but as soon as you start with the assembly providing you are following the instructions it sorts it’s self out once you have to correct pieces in place.

My advice is to read the instructions before you assemble, get a decent pair of gloves to prevent cuts and take your time.

This shed was reasonable value for the money. However, the packing was not very satisfactory as several structural parts were twisted and bent when the package arrived. I had to use a lot of special punches and other tools to re-shape the distorted parts, but the assembly was fairly straightforward.

BE CAREFUL: the edges are incredibly sharp and really need to be smoothed off before assembly
